Amanda and Chris

April 13, 2018

When we have known a couple for years before we photograph their wedding it makes it just that much more fun! Amanda works at a school we photograph so that’s how we met her and Chris has been to various events so we have seen these two grow together since they first met. They started looking for a photographer when they were working on wedding plans and they knew it was a great idea to give us a call. We were excited to be such a big part of their wedding! March 17th was their first date, so the fact that it fell on a weekend during the year they wanted to get married was perfect. The day may have been a bit cold and windy but at least it was dry. We started off with some getting ready photos at the church, including a first look to keep the wedding day jitters away. Amanda and Chris were happy to spend a moment together before they became husband and wife. After a beautiful ceremony we headed to the downtown library. It’s such a wonderful place to do indoor photos. All you need to do is call and get a permit; they only allow the bride and groom inside, but that’s all you need for some romantic settings indoors. Everyone decided to brave a bit of cold weather to do photos in the park. Great lighting, great friends and lots of laughs made the time fly quickly. However not too quick that we still had time to stop by Ted Drewes for a local tradition of ice cream! It was fun seeing so many people we knew at the reception, catching up and also capturing group photos of the people that are special to Amanda and Chris. The smiles on their faces all night just showed how happy they were to be surrounded by so many loved ones there to see their love for each other. Congratulations #blankmeehan
