For the past 10 years we have known Kellie and Bill because we did their wedding. When they started a family they came straight to us. And now 3 kids later and over 100 miles away from us they call once or twice a year to set up a session for the kids. Of course with the travel they want to do as many photos as possible so we always talk about what is most important to start with when we arrive. However even with the multiple photos we were able to get everything done! The kids are getting so big that they know just what to do – besides they have known us since they were born. The weather was a bit cooler than we had hoped but after finding some sun it was actually a very nice day. The session was centered around Lyla but while we were all together it was a great idea to get some photos of her brothers along with a few family photos. Lyla was ready to show off her poses when it was her turn. She has been dancing so we got to see all the fancy dance poses she knows as well as the amazing facial expressions. She is just a great kids to photograph. Kellie wanted to do something fun with her daughter by bringing her wedding dress to the park. Lyla was very happy to put it on and play bride for a bit. Along with her bouquet to toss, long veil blowing in the wind and “engagement ring” this girl was set for some wonderful photos. This was such a great way to have fun with the session while capturing this age for Lyla. Yearly photos are the best way to show how much kids change and we are happy to see this family each year to catch up on all the changes!
