Kaitlin and Josh

January 4, 2018

Each year we attend two bridal shows at the convention center downtown. There is a two day event in January because lots of engagements happen over the holidays so excited brides come to get ideas. The second show is in August and that gives anyone else planning a wedding that year to finish up the details they need. We really enjoy going to these shows because it’s a great way to meet lots of newly engaged couples, show them our work and then set up a more personal consultation in our studio. This is exactly how we met Kaitlin and Josh. They reviewed our work at a wedding show came to visit us to talk details and we all knew it would be a great fit for us to be the wedding photographer. We started with a wonderful engagement session where we got to know them even better than we did during our meeting. They have such great laughter in photos that it makes it hard not to take photos for hours of these two. They continually said they didn’t know what to do, but yet everything they did was perfect! On the wedding day we were happy for the wonderful November weather that didn’t have us freezing while taking outdoor photos. Their wedding weekend was also the perfect one for fall colors! They wanted to stay traditional by not seeing each other before the ceremony. We used this time to take all the photos of the girls and boys separately so we could just right into group photos when we got to the park after the ceremony. A small park in Webster was perfect for pictures because we didn’t have to fight the crowds to get a nice area for photos. Of course we had to leave quickly to get to the masquerade themed reception – their first date was to Phantom of the Opera. The masks were all handmade and very unique from each other. Amazing they had so many ideas to put on them for designs. The dances were choreographed by Josh’s mom – amazing! After the special dances the floor was packed with guest ready to party in their masks. I think Kaitlin and Josh had a night to remember forever and we are so grateful we met them one weekend at a bridal show because if they hadn’t stopped by our booth we would have missed all the fun!
