Lauren and Andrew

April 3, 2018

As any seasoned Missourian knows, the weather in March can be pretty unpredictable. Within just a few days the weather can fluctuate 30 degrees or more, and that was definitely true for the day that we did Andrew and Lauren’s engagement photos! Spring may have been only a few days away, but the high was only in the mid-40s with a very chilly wind. Despite the weather, Andrew and Lauren were able to push through the cold for us to get a full hour of engagement photos in at Des Peres Park. Engagement photos are just as much fun for us because it is often the first time we get to work with you as a couple and see how you interact with each other. Plus it is good practice for all the smiling you will do for your wedding day!
We started off with some photos of Lauren and Andrew with their sweet dog, Bear. Incorporating your pet into your engagement session is a wonderful way to include your furry family member, especially if you won’t be able to get photos with them the day of your wedding. Bear even had the important job of helping to hold the save the date sign! After Bear decided he had taken plenty of photos and it was time to go play, Lauren’s dad took Bear for a walk while we took some more photos with just Lauren and Andrew. Without Bear we were able to relax a little more and talk about how they met and their plans for their wedding day. Des Peres Park may be small, but it has many nice spots for photos with the pond and bridge, plus you don’t have to walk as far in between locations. We had some beautiful early evening light to finish up our last few images. We can’t wait to photograph Andrew and Lauren again, and hopefully the weather will be much warmer for their October wedding!
