Lauren knew exactly where to go when searching for a wedding photographer. We did one of her sister’s weddings and she loved everything so we were at the top of the list. A list that only had one person on it! We were so excited to work with Lauren and her family again. I met Chris during the engagement session and could see how great these two were together. On the wedding day Lauren was willing to plan or fake a few getting ready photos so we could also get pictures of Chris and the boys before the ceremony. The timing worked out great because just as she was mid way through make-up we left to meet up with the boys. Then we gathered back at the church for photos of Lauren getting in her dress. The mood was a bit down since it was pouring rain with the forecast of rain the rest of the day. We were talking about options to alter the photo locations. With some thoughts in mind we got into the ceremony which included a few special moments with Riley and Cole as they joined Lauren and Chris on the alter to bless the new family. After some family photos it looked like the rain was going to hold out! We were excited to head to the park location and quickly do all the wedding party photos. For a group of their size – 24 in the wedding party – I was shocked at how well everyone did at following directions. We got tons of great photos, including a photo of Lauren digging a grave for Chris, which went along perfectly with the homily earlier in the day. When we arrived at the reception it seemed that a few things had not gone according to plan but honestly looking around the room it all looked perfect to me. Lauren’s mom was happy to tell us that she was over the moon Lauren picked us as the photographer because she knew the photos would be perfect. A few sunset photos completed the wonderful evening. We were honored to be a part of the wedding and celebration.
