Lauren and Patrick have seen our wedding work from other family members we have photographed. When they started the search for a photographer they were excited to come in and talk with us about their wedding plans. With a ceremony at the Jewel Box in Forest Park we had a great background for photos! When I woke up and it was snowing on the morning of their wedding I had no idea how Lauren would react to a possible change in photo plans for the day. Upon arriving at the hotel she said she had a relaxing morning watching the snow fall – no worries at all – ready to marry the love of her life! Having a couple that is willing to adapt to any changes was perfect. However the rain stopped before we were set to do outdoor photos and the temperature was decent for mid-February. Good call Lauren on the shawls for the girls! It’s always important to take time for the family photos and some nice wedding party images along with tons of the couple. But it’s so much fun when we are asked to go to a favorite spot in St. Louis that is special to the couple making the photos unique to them. We headed to Tower Pub for a few drinks and a balcony photo of the whole group. A great stop before heading to the reception. During this time of year we have to worry about losing light making us end photos early. Lauren and Patrick chose a perfect reception spot to keep the photos going, Neo on Locust offers some rooftop photos getting a great view of the arch and beautiful sunset. By this time everyone was ready to party so while we started getting photos of the reception room and guest the wedding party relaxed on the party bus. Entering in style we could see this group was going to entertain us all night. We were correct as we witnessed round one of “Africa” by Toto it was going to be a memorable night for everyone. Thank you Lauren and Patrick for letting us capture your wedding memories!
