Leslie was in a wedding we photographed a few years ago. She knew when she got engaged exactly who to ask for a referral. We meet many brides at bridal shows or they see our website and call us, but the best way for someone to get our name is from another client. This shows that everyone was pleased with our work from start to finish, making us the perfect photographer to recommend to anyone they know getting married. Since Leslie lives out of town we did lots of communication by email and phone, I thought I had asked who sent her our way but must have forgotten until I got there and saw her maid of honor, a lifelong friend, was the one that told her to call us. We caught up on kids and life for a minute while Leslie finished her makeup. Once everyone was ready to go we met Matt in the lobby of the hotel for a first look. He was so happy to see Leslie! With an evening ceremony and reception the couple decided to do all the photos at the park earlier in the day. It was a nice day which allowed us to take our time capturing many moments between the couple and the wedding party. At first the couple wasn’t sure about having time to get the family photos after the wedding but I assured them it’s better to take a few moments to get those photos then miss the opportunity while everyone was together. We did it quickly and they got plenty of time to enjoy some of the cocktail hour. The toasts were very meaningful for both Leslie and Matt, bringing tears to their eyes followed by laughter and hugs. It was a night to remember as everyone packed the dance floor – mom, dad, friends and the couple – all celebrating a wonder union. I hope they are in St. Louis sometime again so I am able to photograph these two lovebirds!
