Marissa got our name from someone at her church. This particular church photographs very dark and she was concerned that it would make for bad wedding photos. We have been there before an so we were able to show her exactly how everything would look. Impressed with what she saw, Marissa knew that Ravetta photography was the perfect fit for her. I was very excited to work with her and Josh on the wedding day. Rain in the forecast had us scrambling to think of places to go for photos. We talked through the timing of the day and how it would work out best for us to arrive at the hotel to get some getting ready images before heading over to the church. When we got there we were informed that because of some silly salon in Florida (where they couple now lives) that messed up Marissa’s hair they were running a bit behind on the getting ready process. However we were still able to get some great photos of the girls and that special moment when dad saw her in the wedding dress for the first time. We watched as the rain came down while they finished up and during the ceremony, however after the I do’s the clouds left! It was perfect to go to the park for some photos. We had to locate a few areas that had no grass because it was very wet, but Marissa and Josh were so happy it had stopped raining that they were totally alright walking in the wet grass for a few photos. The lighting was perfect, the couple was perfect and the mood of everyone was perfect. Such an easy going group of people just made our day. Heading to the reception for the party, everyone was ready to let loose and have fun. We enjoyed spending the day with this great group of people and hope that when they are in St. Louis they think of us for any photo needs.
