Theodore was welcomed at the end of 2017. What a perfect way to finish the year and go into 2018 with a new family. Trisha and Tom gave us the pleasure of photographing their wedding. Now as they welcomed their first child we have another pleasure – meeting the new addition for his first photo shoot. It has been so bitterly cold that Trisha wanted us to come to the house to photograph Theodore. We are more than happy to take your session anywhere you want. Having the newborn session at home allowed Tricia and Tom to be comfortable while we took over with the baby. Using his monogramed blankets, chair and even the décor in his room truly put a personal touch to the session. We have tons of hats and wraps but when parents let us incorporate anything we see at the house it opens up lots of new options for us. When we arrived Theodore was finishing up an eating session with mom. We tried to get a few photos of him under the Christmas tree but it seemed like he wasn’t done eating. After a bit more food he was awake and ready to go. We got photos of him awake in a couple different outfits. He gave us so many different expressions! Of course we tuckered him out, without any fuss he went to sleep. I think the swaddling helped that, Theodore loves to be all tucked in. The wrapped sleeping photos are best within the first 7-10 days, at 2 weeks Theodore was willing to give us both. Starting with a happy, alert baby while also getting some sweet sleeping photos is a perfect blend. We are so excited to watch him grow, hoping to have the opportunity to photograph him again and again!
